I have missed everyone while vacationing to Spain and Portugal.  Can’t wait to see what y’all have been up to!

There will be no features this week.  I was hoping to find time to check out those from two weeks ago.  Alas, it did not happen.  I will however be visiting them sometime in the near future.

Pueblo (village) Doors of the Camino. . .

Hello my friends, it seems like I have been away for so very long.  What a fantastic time we had in Spain and Portugal, but I am so happy to be home!

It was wonderful spending time with our daughter, Kylee and her husband, Dustin.  However, seventeen days away from my home and garden is a bit long for this gal.

I missed my family, and friends also.  Can’t wait to start visiting and see what everyone has been up to.

Today I want to share with you the wonderful doors on the village farmhouses throughout the Camino de Santiago.  I have such a love for old doors.  Each one  is uniquely charming.  I would have loved to have brought one home with me.

If you’re not familiar with the Camino let me give you a bit of history.

For a thousand years, pilgrims from all over the world have followed the footsteps of Saint James along an 800 km trail from San Jean Pied de Port France to Santiago de Compostela Spain, where his remains are believed to be buried.

There is a movie about this trek called, ‘The Way’.

We walked 110 km of the Camino (almost 70 miles) in 5 1/2 day.  At times it was a bit hard, but I enjoyed it so much.

My favorite was when we were walking among the humble farmhouses along the way.  I can only fantasize about what is going on behind these doors.

You know I love this one with my lucky number 7.

Each door is so uniquely precious.  I think I am going to print a few and frame then.  I’ll leave you with one of my favorites.

I loved each and every one of these doors.  After 17 days away the best door I saw was the one when we pulled in to our own drive.  There’s no place like home!

Indoors & Out with Amanda. . .

Hello everyone.  Today we will be visiting my friend, Amanda.  Originally it was going to be a tour of her garden. 
Because we are a little behind this year, a lot of her gorgeous flowers were not in bloom.  So I thought I would show you some of her outdoors and then take you indoors and show you all of the wonderful wood pieces her hubby, Frank has made for her over the years.








Now let’s step inside.  You will be wowed!


He made the pegboard and the frame below.






Frank purchased both of these stained glass windows and then added them to their home.



I had to show you the side of this cabinet.  He ordered the punched panels off of the internet.

I know that’s a whole lot of pics, but isn’t his work amazing?
Amanda & Frank have a love for antiques.  They have a lot of beautiful ones in their home.  Frank didn’t make this, but I have to show you their amazing bed.

They are such a fun couple!

Between their love for antiques, gardening, and wood working their home is quite a show case.  Hope you enjoyed today’s tour.

Natural Beauty Home Tour. . .

Hello my friends.  I have such a fun tour for you today.  Many of you will remember times that I have shown wonderful things that have been made by my hairdresser, Shalona.  Needless to say, she is a very multitalented gal.
Her home is full of Natural Beauty.  Decorated all in neutral tones.  She certainly has the knack to make her home charming.

Even the outside says, ‘Welcome’!

When I arrived she stepped out and greeted me with her new little grandbaby.
